The cache is on the left hand side of the New England Highway when heading north in the village of Willow Tree. It is in a position just out of view of where muggles are likely to congregate. (The shop staff know about the cache even though they will say otherwise.) It has a Log Book and Pen, Cache Notes and room for small Geocoins or Travel Bugs. The cache is cylindrical, about 60mm x 180mm and it is WHEEL CHAIR friendly.
Willow Tree is a village located in New South Wales, Australia. It is situated in the Liverpool Plains, 14 kilometres south of Quirindi near the junction of the Kamilaroi and New England Highways. The town itself is small, about 170 people, but the farms extend southwest out to the township of Warrah. The town has a General Store with Post Office, an Information Centre, a Hotel, a Bowling Club, and a Café/Takeaway and a truck stop on the northern side of town. The town is located at the north-eastern corner of the enormous Warrah grant which was made out to the Australian Agricultural Company in 1833. An inn was established in the mid-19th century on the future townsite, at the junction of the roads north to Quirindi and north-east to Wallabadah. The village was surveyed when part of the Warrah grant was subdivided and sold in 1908. It was the arrival of the railway in the 1870s that led to settlement of Willow Tree. There is a major wheat terminal with large silos at the northern end of town. The wheat is taken to Newcastle by train.
