Geocache Description:

This is our first cache (hopefully of many).

Congratulations to Geoibsons and gman450 for magnificent night time joint FTF within half an hour of publishing!!

The cache is located in the beautiful Derbyshire village of Repton. Archaeological finds dating from the Roman, Anglo-Saxon and Viking periods show Repton to have demographic importance from an early time. The village dates back to Anglo-Saxon times and was the place where Christianity was first preached in the Midlands. In the crypt of the church there are still well preserved remains of Saxon architecture. The church with its tall spire is not the only distinctive building - Repton has a wealth of these, many associated with the ancient school, which boasts previous pupils such as Roald Dahl, Jeremy Clarkson, C.B. Fry etc.

This could be done as a cache and dash, or linked in with others in the area. The cache is a small camouflaged clip lock box, with a selection of swaps and two trackables. Please ensure that you leave the cache locked and well hidden.

Please watch both Geokids and Geomutts as the road can be busy.
