Geocache Description:

A basic "lock 'n' lock" style cache placed at the base of the huge cairn near the summit of Carn an Fhreiceadain (878m) in the Monadhloath Mountains, but within easy walking distance of Kingussie.

There's a nice straightforward circular walk to the cache from Kingussie, details can be found here: (visit link)

The walking is mainly on clear stony tracks (so navigation is unlikely to be a problem), however there are some very steep sections in the ascent - so allow plenty of time!

You must be appropriately equipped before heading out into these hills as it is a very remote and exposed area and the weather changes very quickly. There is no shelter whatsoever out here, so full waterproofs, warm clothing, food and drink, map, compass and the appropriate skills and experience are all required.

However, you are rewarded with superb views and it really is a beautiful area that you are likely to have to yourself.

The cache should be easy to find - you don't need to remove any stones from the cairn its self as the cache is not IN the cairn!
