This is our first attempt at a "puzzle" cache, so please bear with us. This is not very difficult (hopefully).
The coordinates listed above will lead you to a four digit number which is visible from your vehicle. Use these numbers to compute the actual cache location.
To get the NORTH coordinate:
- Use only the first and fourth digits of the sign, smush 'em together to get a two digit number.
- Subtract that number from the last three digits of the North coordinates listed above.
- Then subtract 1 from that number.
- The resulting three digits will be ABC
- New North Coordinates are: 38* 42.ABC
To get the WEST coordinate:
- Compute the check sum of the four digits on the sign.
- Add 100 to that number.
- Then subtract that sum from the last three digits of the West coordinates listed above.
- The resulting three digits will be DEF
- New West Coordinates are: 090* 29.DEF
NOTE: As in most of Missouri, poison ivy and/or ticks may be found in the area of the cache. Also, on occasion, this area may be subject to flooding and/or standing water nearby - so insect repellant may be your friend!
