A quick drive by on the way North, be very careful as you pull over. Not as hard as EXTREME CAUTION, but be careful. It is possible to to get this cache heading south if you are extra cautious. Only do so if there is no traffic.
I have gotten ideas from powertrails around the world and other cachers magnetic hides I have been inspired to create a trail of my own: GREAT BARRIER ONE!
My idea is to get geocaches hidden on many of the safe metal barriers along State Highway 1.
Hidden across the road from SheepWorld. Keep your eyes peeled for the brightly colored sheep across the road. Which gives this cache its name.
Notes on SheepWorld: twice-daily shows the dogs round up and bring in the sheep, which are then sorted and shorn. The Wonderful Wool multimedia exhibition then explains and demonstrates how the fleece is put to an amazing variety of uses.
As well as demonstrating the NZ sheep and wool story, SheepWorld has some great ways to experience NZ nature first hand and to meet with some of their friendly wildlife and farm animals.
