Geocache Description:

Rail ride #1 : Supporting structure

Every year in June the Glen Waverley line plays host to a steam train which draws children and parents away from the household duties and ride the rails.

As the train rattles by, you can see crowds of photographers with complex cameras and professional tripods to support them and this in itself is quite a spectacle.

The cache you are seeking is in an area much loved by these photographers and it is a small Micro. Space is tight so sorry BYO pen and no room for swaps.

Please note that the location has free access to the train tracks so take care if you have geokids with you.

This route is also one of three we love to take on our regular rides into the city and so I plan to make the trip more interesting for others by placing caches along the way. Ultimately, all three routes merge into the Gardiners Creek Trail and on to a coffee at Southbank.

Congratulations to Spladem, Stemicmitsar and Trailrunning for a joint FTF and a fun afternoon in Mt Waverley
