Geocache Description:



This is my second cache in this series along the Root River. It is an easy stop and grab near Highway 17 North.

To get to this cache you can park along the highway. There is room to pull over and park on the wide shoulder. Stop just before the rock cut as there is a trail that you can follow which starts near there. This trail has been used for years and is still in pretty good shape. Make sure to note any wildlife you see on your way to the cache. It is a short walk to the river and the cache. There is a natural dam here and you can walk across when the water is low enough. Just watch your footing on the loose round river rocks. We used to fish and swim here as kids. Enjoy the walk and hopefully you will enjoy this easy cache.

- As a bonus there is a Benchmark (What is a Benchmark?) located on top of the rock cut beside the highway where you parked.
