The cache is hidden on the compound of the old military (Yugoslavian Army) barracks. The whole area was abandoned after the independence war in the '90's. One of the buildings is presently used as an oil rafinery, but only during short periods of oil production (not in the summer).
Coming from Lumbarda, you come to the first crossroads at WP1 (N 42° 55.220 E 017° 11.434), where you should turn right (to the road leading uphill). After a while you will reach the parking place.
ATTENTION! – This is a (abandoned, but still) a military complex. There is a locked gate and a fence at the parking place, and a “Forbidden entrance” sign. Usually, there’s nobody around, so you can sneak through the big hole in the fence. However, if you see an unlocked gate and/or anybody inside, you better turn around and leave. If asked about your presence there, explain about the game. The tunnel is near the sea level, and *can* be approached either by the “Pržina” sand beach from the west, or from the “Cape Ražnjić” (GC2E9NH) cache from the east, walking along the shore. But I wouldn’t recommend this, at least not without proper shoes, as there is around 1 km walk on spiky rocks. You have been warned.
So, you have passed the fence and you’re inside, on foot. The complex is big, there are several abandoned buildings, machines, rusting trucks and other heavy military equipment. The trail leading to the cache site starts from N 42° 54.859 E 017° 11.410. On your way, you will find abandoned bunkers, hangars and machinegun nests.
Cache is placed near the entrance of an abandoned military tunnel, which goes underground for several hundred meters (in complete darkness), maybe even kilometers. I think there are at least five entrances like this in the vicinity.
The cache itself is placed outside the tunnel, so there is no need to go in to retrieve the cache.
TAKE ALL PRECAUTIONS AND DO NOT ENTER THE TUNNELS WITHOUT PROPER EQUIPMENT (LIGHT, BACKUP LIGHT). DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS. LET SOMEBODY KNOW WHERE YOU ARE IF YOU PLAN TO EXPLORE THE TUNNELS.
