The cache should not be attempted during very high tides or very rough seas. Check the tides before you go, high tide is not an advisable time to attempt to find it. To reach the cache could take anything between 30 minutes and 90 minutes. Take water along. If you don't do the whole trail, it is still about 5 kilometres to the cache and back to your car. There is high cliffs along the route, be carefull! During rain the route can be very slippery.
YOU WILL NEED A TORCH / HEADLAMP.
The St Blaize trail starts at The Point, underneath the St Blaize Light House, Mossel Bay.
No permits are necessary.
This trail is very scenic, with high cliffs, caves along the route and breathtaking views.
Whales, dolphins and seals, even sharks, can be seen swimming below all year long, though the peak time for whale watching is between June and October.
Other animals to be encountered is bushbuck, duiker, otters, tortoises and dassies.

The trail is 13.5 km long from The Point to Malva Street, Dana Bay, Mossel Bay.

It is best to leave a vehicle at the end in order to get back to the where you started. Otherwise arrange with somebody to come and pick you up at the finish point.
If you do not want to do the whole trail, the closest point to start to find the cache is if you park at Cecil Shepperd Street, Mossel Bay. There is a sign indicating the trail here:

To get to the cache you have to follow the trail in a Westerly direction. When you get to this point:

you will see the trail split to the right, and another path turns towards the sea, along a rock wall. Follow the trail towards the sea. This will get you to the waypoint from where you will see the cave!
The cache corodinates are set to get you to the mouth of the cave. It is not the exact coordinates where the cache is hidden. You will have to enter the cave and follow the instructions and clues (if you want to), to find the cache.
You will notice there is always a lot of debris left here by rough seas washing bouys, bottles or anything that floats into the cave. Fisherman sometimes use the cave to shelter against rain as well.
On your GPS this cave will probably be indicated as "Tunnel Caves"
Once inside the mouth of the cave, it is roughly 45 steps inside, on the right.
The cache is a clear 1.3 litre sealed plastic container.
