Geocache Description:

A stop at a T in a gravel road. The cache container has a small bison tube inside it. As usual in camo netting. There is a small ditch( which is only about 1 foot deep from road level) so don't trip while getting the Relic.

PhotobucketThis Relic is dedicated to The Chisholm Trail. In the mid 1800's for about 20 years, 20 million cattle were herded from the Texas to the railway's in Kansas. This trail is about 520 miles long, and a typical cattle drive generally consisted of about 2000 cattle 16 people (one being the boss. Twelve miles was generally considered a good day, as the cattle had to feed in order to live. The men were not paid until the cattle were sold, and they averaged about forty dollars a month per person. This is dedicated to those who braved this incredible job to provide meat to the rest of the U.S.........Enjoy..... Darksy1
