Just a heads up. With the recent Grizzly bear problem it would be wise to pack some heavy artillary (44 mag or better and a can of pepper spray wouldn't hurt))for protection. You more than likely never need it but better to be safe than sorry
Take a drive up Lightning creek from Clarkfork. You will turn tothe left onto a bridge (Wellington creek). This is a beautifulscenic bumpy road and when you get up into the rocks you might justsee a pika.Follow the road up to the top and bare left when you get there. Wegot stuck coming out in 4 ft of snow. LOL Snow in August. Followroad down to Auxor mine.There is a log and a travel bug in a camo cylinder.You can drive within feet of the mine.We took a camping trip with our jeeper friends and thought thiswould be a good place to make a hide. The scenery is well worth thedrive. Oh and the snow should be gone. First to find driving a JeepWrangler can email for a $25 gift card.
