Geocache Description:

A traditional cache just over the bridge to Cruit Island in the beautiful county of Donegal. It will only be accessible at low tide, so check the tide tables before setting out. Most of the walk from the car park at 55'05'7'N 8'24'7'W is along the sand, with a short climb at the end on the rocks to the left of the water. If you reach the grounded boats, you've gone too far.

This cache is full of children's goodies. We've been coming here with our two boys for years as it's a great spot for swimming, clambering over the rocks, looking for crabs and exploring the old boats. The road to the golf course meanders for 6-7km to the end of the island and exploring this is another great way to pass a few hours.
