Geocache Description:

You will be looking for a small screw top tube that contains only a log. Please remember to bring your own writing instrument.

NOTE: The cache is not at the posted coordinates. You must have a receiver capable of receiving the Chirp signal in order to find this cache. There is no need to find the Beacon. It would do you no good anyway as it has a PIN and can only be programed using my GPSr.

This is Jacksonville's first Chirp cache and, at the time of this listing, is the only Chirp cache in Arkansas. I got the opportunity to hunt a few of these this summer and they were a lot of fun. I hope that you find this one to be as enjoyable.

My 62s received the Beacon signal about 30 feet away, but my 400T did not "lock on" until I was almost at the Beacon. Tree cover may have been a contributing factor. Please let me know in your online log what receiver you were using and how quickly it picked up the Beacon.

If you find this cache in need of attention, please note it in your online log or email me through my profile link.

Above all, be safe, have fun, and happy caching.
