Yoko Shimomura was born on October 19th, 1967.
Music is an important part of the Kingdom Hearts series, and Yoko Shimomura is the chief composer for the series. She composes and/or arranges the field and battle themes for each of the worlds, as well as other music tracks for the games. She is also a composer for many of the Final Fantasy games.
