Geocache Description:

The cache is a typical magnetic key case hide, with a log, info on geocaching and a short pencil. (As pencils seem to disappear best to BYOP!)

This placement is all about it's location. This hunt will take you to the Safe Haven Museum in Oswego, NY. Plan your visit if possible when you can tour the Museum.

Summer Hours: Memorial Day thru Labor Day
Tues-Sun 11:30 AM to 4 Pm
(Open on Memorial Day and Labor Day)

Winter Hours: Thurs-Sun 11:30AM to 4PM

Here you will "witness the story of 982 WWII Refuges brought to the United States in 1944.

You will learn: How did they end up in the US?
Their Life in the camp
What happened to them when the camp closed?

Hear their stories and view images of their lives in Oswego. The camp ran from August 1944 to February 1946.
