The Wavy Crest Trail starts on the west shore of the noprth arm of Murtle Lake just north of the Straight Creek campsite.
The trail climbs through wet cedar forest to subalpine white pine forest, then into alpine meadows. About half of the trail is above treeline. Follow the narrow ridge as it climbs an arete between three cirques.
