Geocache Description:

This is our first cache. It is an easy find. Minor detor off the trail. This placed at the location on Troop 924 meets every Tuesday night. The church gave permission for the cache to be placed here. Parking is close. Please avoid on Sundays for obvious reasons. Happy hunting.

Sudley United Methodist Church has been around since before the Civil War. It served as a field hospital for the Union Army during the First Battle of Manassas. The church that stands today is actually the third building to be built of this site. The second church burned down after being struck by lightning. This historical fact contributed to the name of the cache.
