Geocache Description:

A round 100mm x 75mm pot that contains a log and pencil. The container is big enough to house small TB's and swappables.
This cache is close to the entrance of Middleton Hall.

PLEASE REPLACE AS FOUND. IF LEFT EXPOSED THIS CACHE WILL BE MUGGLED.

There is much to appreciate at and about Middleton Hall. It was never a palace but it shows evidence of several phases of English domestic architecture from the late thirteenth to the early nineteenth century.
There is a fine Great Hall that is of Tudor origin.

The estate features fine buildings and gardens a nine acre pool and significant inudstrial remains. This is a site of Special Scientific Interest, with something to see throughout the year. There is a one mile walk around the pool, where otters can now be observed (If you are lucky).

There is a craft centre on site which is open daily. The hall itself is only open on Sunday's and bank holidays.

I feel that the Diamond In The Rough series and the caches in and around Middleton warrant a role of honour. I would like to thank everyone that has visited and posted some great log entries.
