Geocache Description:

The cache is situated next the oldest Chalet in the Landes, near the GR-8, Landes, France.
This part of the GR-8 Track is also called “La Voie littoral pour les pèlerins en direction de St. Jacques de Compostella” (between Bordeaux and the Spanish border).

Already in the middle-ages it was the coastal road for pilgrims from the South-west side of France.

It shows a splendid panoramic view of the Lac of Parentis-en-Born.
In wintertime you can easily encounter the wildlife of this region.
In summer there is a large beach to do some swimming or sailing.
A hot point for experts in trail expeditions.

Remarks:
1. The cache is hidden on 2011 August the 14th.
2. You can park your car in 10 meters from the cache.
3. The cache will be inspected every month.
4. Do not light open fires.
5. The GR-8 is a wonderful trail (indicated by red/white signs) with lots of interesting view places along the “Côte d’Argent”: the littoral of the Atlantic Ocean. Tourist Information Offices are on world wide web.
6. Great thanks to Miss Babara, living in Gastes. She explores the tracks in this area since 30 years.
7. If you found the cache and sent me more information about the contents (koenmaes_j2@hotmail.com), I will sent you some photos of the site.

2. Cap Ferret
3. Chateau de Woolsack
