If rumour is to be believed then geocaching is the only pastime that HG has ever kept up for longer than a few months. I'm so glad that he became a Habitual Geocacher because he's brought so much entertainment into Scottish geocaching for so many people. Not only by setting geocaches in the hundreds for others to find, but by cajoling his fellow Fifers into organising food events that are now a routine part of the geocaching calendar, by his willingness to help and support others in the geocaching community, by his ability to make us laugh and by the fact that he cares - not just about geocaching itself but about the people around him who do it. But most of all I'm glad he's a Habitual Geocacher because if he had stopped doing it after a few months then I would never have got to know him.
