Be aware

Mountains can be dangerous places if you are not careful. Make sure that you know of a safe route up and down, that you are properly equipped, that you have checked the weather forecast, etc. The climb is steep at points, a reasonable level of fitness is required. Exercise caution and common sense at all times.

The cache

The cache is a medium sized orange waterproof clip-lock box, covered with camo tape. It contained (when placed) a logbook, a couple of pencils and a sharpener.

Looking after the cache

Given its location, the cache is challenging to maintain. Please take care to avoid water getting in the container when opening it, close the container firmly, and seal the plastic bags holding the logbook. If you are able, helping clean it up as appropriate is always appreciated. Updates on the cache's condition, good or bad, in logs are really helpful. Thank you!

Route

You can find instructions for climbing the mountain. Please note that this webpage is slightly outdated and that the N8 that is referenced is now the R639.
