How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Pulling up to a slope covered with a million rocks and looking for a micro can be daunting for sure. This hide is not as evil as it would first appear.

Gravity and erosion are at work on the landscape along this road. Ten years ago these rocks were climbable. Since then, with record ice and rain helping gravity along, the slopes now look like this. Which is interesting in its own right.

You will not need to climb the slope to make the find. You may have to "step up" to reach it. Please watch your step. I would not recommend flip flops or crocs for this adventure.

This is a cache container Craneman4 and I used while conducting a Geocaching event at our local middle school this past summer.

Make sure the container is tucked in snugly to withstand the effects of erosion.

Why the fourth dimension? Albert Einstein didn't believe gravity was a force at all; he explained it in his Theory of Relativity as a distortion in the shape of space-time, otherwise known as "the fourth dimension". At any rate....here on this bank you will meet both Gravity and Erosion.

Welcome to the fourth dimension.
