Welcome to Sleepy Hollow State Park. A Recreation Passport or
motor vehicle permit is required to park in the state park all year
round. Daily and annual permits can be purchased on site.

This cache honors all the heroes who manned Space Shuttle
Atlantis. A total of 156 unique individuals flew with Space Shuttle
Atlantis over the course of its 33 missions between October 1985
and July 2011, including the final mission of the entire space
shuttle program (STS 135). Astronaut Jerry Ross holds the record
for the most flights aboard Atlantis at five. The Atlantis crew who
manned the final space shuttle mission aboard Atlantis was
commander Christopher J. Ferguson, pilot Douglas G. Hurley, and
mission specialists Sandra H.Magnus and Rex J. Walheim. Many thanks
to all of those who risked their lives as participants in the space
shuttle program.
The cache is a black ammo can hidden in a typical way. Please
stay on available trails until you are close to the cache.
The closest available parking for this cache is at the boat
launch parking lot, which has a new entrance off of Price Rd (see
waypoint below for the new park entrance). The old Shepardsville Rd
entrance has been permanently closed.
Please be aware that hunting is allowed in this park certain
times of the year, so be careful and dress appropriately.
