Geocache Description:

WELCOME at BOUNDARY LINE


SH2 winds through the Waioeka Gorge and as it comes closer to Matawai (Gisborne side) it crosses the Boundary line between the Bay of plenty and the East Coast.

The Gisborne District Council has erected a welcoming board a couple of hundred meters up the hill from the actual Boundary marker.




The cache is a 200 ml snap lock container holding a yellow logbook, a pencil and a sharpener, a muggle card
There is a parking opportunity close to the sign, but you will have to go up the bank. Watch the road that can be busy at times.


Satellite reception can be difficult by the high hills around you. Watch the children as it is close to the road. Retrieving requires some stealth because of the traffic. Good luck
