LA CACHE E SEI SOLDI  è ispirato al film  LA LUNA E SEI SOLDI  di Albert Lewin  (1942) , tratto dal più celebre romanzo di THE MOON AND SIXPENCE di William Somerset Maugham
LA CACHE E SEI SOLDI is inspired by the film Moon and Sixpence by Albert Lewin's (1942), drawn from the famous novel The Moon and Sixpence by William Somerset Maugham
  

Il film è tratto Dal romanzo (1919) di W.S. Maugham, ispirato alla vita di Gauguin. Un agente di cambio decide di cambiar vita. Lascia l'attività per dedicarsi alla sua passione; passa alcuni anni a Parigi a dipingere e per poi continuare il suo viaggio verso i mari del sud, a Tahiti, dove continuerà la sua carriera artistica sotto l'influenza dell'arte locale. Muore di lebbra nell'isola.  Esordio nella regia di A. Lewin (1894-1968), sceneggiatore e produttore. Il film è girato in bianconero con il finale e le immagini dei quadri in Technicolor.
 

Loosely inspired from Gauguin's life, the story of Charles Strickland, a middle-aged stockbrocker who abandons his middle-classed life, his family, his duties to start painting, what he has always wanted to do. He is from now on a awful human being, wholly devoted to his ideal: beauty                            
  
 
  La cache è posizionata nel comune di Bardino Nuovo, nei pressi di un B&B molto caratteristico, ricavato da un convento del'500. Tutte le camere sono affrescate con dipinti che ricordano i grandi pittori del '900. Tappa ideale per scoprire l'entroterra ligure ricco di borghi affascinanti.

   The cache is placed in Bardino Nuovo, close to a fascinating B&B, ex a monastery dating from '500.All rooms are frescoed with paintings reminiscent of the great painters of the 900. An ideal stop to discover the hinterland rich in fascinating villages.
