I have been driving along Amboy Road for years and have no idea how long this memorial has been there. But I really like what they have done to the old speedway; the area is now a great resource for the entire community!

A = the number of the car in the top photo on the New Asheville Speedway plaque
B = the total number of letters in the name of the man who remembers having to run the cows out of the field before each race
C = the number of letters in the last name of the winner of the 1958 Grand National race held at the McCormick Field Track
D = the number of letters in the Aldridge vehicle brand in the photo that shows a car up on two jacks
E = the total of the digits in Richie's car shown in the photo in Victory Lane
F = the number of letters in the first name MINUS the number of letters in the last name of the winner of the last Grand National race held at the Asheville-Weaverville Speedway
CHECKSUM: A + B + C + D + E + F = XY; X + Y = 5
The park is closed at night. Please be aware that there are often folks all around so be very careful during your search. Please make sure that the very atypical cache is placed back carefully and where it should be. Enjoy!
