Geocaches have been hidden at several participating sites arcross Northwest Florida. All the sites on this geotrail are connected to Florida archaeology and are featured in the Road Trip Through Florida Archaeology exhibit at the Destination Archaeology Resource Center in
Pensacola, FL. The first 300 participants to locate at least 5 DARC geocaches will receive a traceable, special edition geocoin produced specifically for the DARC geotrail.

You will be seeking a small official Geocache container. You will find a clue to the code word written on the first page of the log book. The correct answer to this clue is the code word for this cache. They are open 10 AM - 2 PM Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement is a living history museum located in Blountstown, FL as a part of Sam B. Atkins Park. It is a collection of historical and recreated buildings arranged to simulate an early agricultural community, with a pioneer settlement and a farmstead. The museum sits on 47 acres in Calhoun County.
The purpose of the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement Museum is to promote knowledge and understanding of the history of pioneer life in Calhoun County and the surrounding northwest Florida region, through its stewardship of the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement Community Foundation Endowment Fund as resources for education, use and appreciation. This purpose shall be fulfilled by preserving, maintaining and interpreting its site, structures and collections and making them available to the public for research, education programs, and appropriate private and community functions.
