Cuyamungue
K’uuyemugeh
Cuyamungue is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Fe County, New Mexico, United States. It is part of the Santa Fe, New Mexico Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 421 at the 2000 census. This is a mostly residential and farming area with amazing sunrises and sets. If you are so inclined, stop across the road for margaritas and excellent table-side guacamole.
The overpass here is painted an earthy yellow color and has the words K’UUYEMUGEH painted across the upper horizontal part of the bridge. This area is also referred to as Cuyumunge, meaning “place of the falling rock”. The sides of the overpass are painted with contrasting blue and red Corn Maidens, as well as other folk art native designs.
