Buffalo Thunder

Posuwaegeh
Towa for "drink-water place"

A recent addition to the northern New Mexico landscape is north and across the highway. Casino, conference center, 300+ rooms, venue for many current and post-current acts along with 36 nicely sculpted golf holes.

The Posuwaegeh overpass just north of this spot is painted with symbols for mountains, clouds, and (hopefully) water. Large 'whirling logs' (a symbol for the infinite) were painted on the walls extending up from the abutments.
