Geocache Description:

This cache is not located at the posted coordinates. You must solve the puzzle to find the cache.

In old time currency, dollar coins were sliced into eight pieces for the purpose of paying for goods and services at a lower denomination. The Spanish Piece of Eight comes from this practice. In Colonial America, a Piece of Eight, or Bit was worth 12 and a half cents. This is where the term "Two Bits" (a quarter) came from, and was used throughout the old west, even after the Bit coin was phased out. I noticed that the common peace sign has its own two Bits. It also has two other slices that are considerably larger than a Bit. Coins sliced into peace signs probably wouldn't be very useful as currency, so it's a good thing this puzzle has nothing to do with making change.

Here is a key to the color code and how colors layer.
