retiredprof started caching on November 22, 2004, a little later than some of the other "names" in the game, but with 11957 finds and 1075 hides since then he has kept busy, finding caches in every state in the USA, in every County in California, Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona.
In addition to a respectable find count, retiredprof has an admirable find:hide ratio that has alway been close to 10:1. He is a prolific hider, and he is known for his Puzzle caches. What is less well known is his devotion to maintaining his caches. A retiredprof cache may be disabled, but rarely are they disabled for long. He investigates every string of DNFs on one of his caches and quickly resolves the problem.
He is also a leader of a very active group of Yuba City/Marysville/Grass Valley Area cachers, either hosting or assisting a string of monthly events that has run for years.
This particular cache is a retiredprof container that was a raffle prize at one of the aforementioed monthly events. It does require a wee bit of a hike, and a tool could be helpful.
