Geocache Description:

The headlines screamed:
"Railway Sensations"
"Accident on Bridge"
"Carriages Fall 12 Feet"
"15 Passengers Injured"
"Rescue from Locked Car"
"Penknives Supersede Tomahawk"

It was September 7th 1910 and the train from Coleraine to Hamilton had fallen from the McKinnons Creek bridge. But what happened next? Finding the cache at the given coordinates is only the start to finding the answer.

This stretch of the Hamilton-Coleraine Rail Trail is also home to the rare and endangered Legless Lizard. Read about it at the start of the short walk to the GZ.

Park at the entrance to the trail on Russells Road and don't leave your brain in the car.

If you can't work this cache out please do not try and break into it. Leave it so that others can enjoy it and maybe come back for another go).

As with all caches please make fair swaps and re-hide the cache well.

Good luck
