Geocache Description:

A short uphill walk to see the city lights spread below.

WARNING
There is currently a deer control program within Cleland Conservation Park and Mt Osmond Reserve, managed by the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR). Control operations, including shooting, may be undertaken any night between Monday and Thursday. Operations will not be undertaken on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights or on Public and School Holidays. Signs have been placed at every major vehicle entrance gate into Mt Osmond

DO NOT attempt this cache on the nights that shooting may occur. Ensure at all times that you are visible (bright coloured clothing) and have plenty of lights on hand.

I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain -- and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.

I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.

I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,

But not to call me back or say good-bye;
And further still at an unearthly height,
A luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.
-- Robert Frost

From the parking coordinates, take the zig-zag track up to the published coordinates. From here, follow the firetacks. When you see three tacks on a tree, look for the aluminium tag that will tell you where the cache is. If for some reason this goes missing, a small container is hidden nearby with the coordinates also.

Bring your camera. And a tripod.

Total walk from the parking area to the cache and back is a little over a kilometre.
Be aware that after rain, the track can become very slippery. Please take care and watch your footing.
