One of our favorite story book characters is Waldo, from the Where's Waldo books. It is always fun to imagine where Waldo might have gone.
Central Campus at Iowa State University is a popular place for weddings. Many are held next to the Campanile, a bell tower with many tuneful bells. Waldo could have easily been invited to one of these weddings. He might have also left a geocache and a puzzle for you to follow.

When Waldo left his car, he took a short walk to the ISU Memorial Union and noticed a famous water fountain entitled "Fountain of the Four Seasons" by Christian Peterson.
Waldo walked around the fountain, admired each of the statues and the ornate benches that surround the fountain.
He counted the number of benches and arrived at the following formula for the first digit in the puzzle:
D = (number of benches that surround the fountain)
Waldo next went to THE CAMPANILE:
He noted the number of bells installed in the Campanile and used them to arrive at the next part of the puzzle:
E = (number of bells)/5
He wandered around until he found an intriguing SCULPTURE.
He counted the number stones that make up the sculpture and came up with this formula for the last number:
C= (number of stones in the sculpture)
A = C + D
B = C - D
