One in a series of micros to explore unusual places in Dunmore.

Once a upon a time you could hear the sounds of playing children at the pool and on the playground equipment. Go back even further in time you would hear the sounds of the Engines chugging by as coal was being extracted from the Bunker Hill Colliery. In fact, if you want to see the remains of a Bunker then take the time to walk to N 41.24.342. W 075.37.593. This will take you onto the abandoned Eire RR line, but please do not go into the bunker itself.

The cache is a micro container in a bit longer than a 35mm canister and is in the park area. There is unfortunately a fair amount of trash, so feel free to grab a piece or two on the way out. Make sure you bring your own pen.
