Aim High! A tribute to a hometown hero!
Take a second here to visit one of our home town heros! John Brooke England (15 January 1923 – 17 November 1954. )He was the leading ace of World War II from Missouri and England City Park has a memorial in his honor. Part of the inscription on the plaque reads "This memorial of Colonel England is dedicated to and represents the highest tradition of American fighting men lost in wars fought for the preservation of our freedoms." He paid the ultimate price for our freedom and to spare the lives of innocent people. He gave his life defending the red, white and blue that so prould flies near by. After you pay your respects feel free to enjoy the very kid friendly location.
