BYOP! This is the replacement for my archived cache, "Short Final" GC1H0F4, which had to be sacrificed for the runway expansion at Denton Regional Airport, aka, KDTO.
Those of you old enough to remember the TV show called "Fantasy Island", will no doubt understand the name of this cache, and recall memories of little Tattoo excitingly shouting, "zee plane, zee plane!", when the flying boat came in for a water landing, and taxied up to the dock bearing the guests for that episode. While you are unlikely to see a flying boat or floatplane, this is a great spot to watch a variety of aircraft demonstrating takeoffs and landings at KDTO. The parking area is at a dead end so traffic should be a non-issue. Enjoy the view, and happy hunting!
