"The Gold Coast National Trust Historic District is divided in half, north and south by Dodge Street. Both areas developed simultaneously around 1900. The North Gold Coast was designated as Omaha’s first local landmark district in 1978. The neighborhood presents excellent examples of America’s turn-of-the-century Revival Period of architecture. It includes the architectural design work of the firms of John Latenser, F.A. Henninger, John McDonald, and Thomas Kimball, all acclaimed because of their considerable contributions to the development of the city."
