The Dickson Experiment Station (named after the scientist, not the suburb) was set up by the CSIRO in the 1940's and occupied the land which is now Downer and part of Watson.

The listed coordinates are a good place to park. In front of you on the left is the old machinery shed (now abandoned shops), and on the right the workshop and store (now the community centre).
At WP1 you will find a sign titled CSIRO Farm Downer. The station occupied 6A0 acres and was on this site for 2B years. *** Sign has been replaced (July 2020) ***.
At WP2 you will find a sign titled Downer Heritage Trees. The Sequoiadendron Giganteum trees are about 1C metres high.
At WP3 you will find a sign titled Downer. The school operated from 196D to 198E.
At WP4 you are facing a mural painted for Downer's 50th Anniversary. It depicts two women tending the opium poppy crops during the war years. The woman on the left has 'F' buttons on her dress.
Calculate GZ as S35 14.EFD E149 08.A(C+1)B. Cache is a 200ml sistema. Please cover well after logging.
