Geocache Description:

We love to travel and we love rest area geocaches. Almost every rest area has at least one. We've been to a rest area in SD that had 5 caches. Makes the trip longer but much more fun. As of publication date, we have found 20 Ohio and over 50 out-of-state rest area caches.

The cache IS located at the listed coordinates. You can find & sign the log at any time, but you can not post & date as Found until you've met the requirements. Any Found Logged Visits that do not conform to the listed requirements will be deleted. This is about the challenge, not the final find which is an easy grab, then back on the road again.

For this challenge you must log 50 rest area caches. Of your 50 finds, there must be at least 6 different states represented with a maximum of 15 finds within the state of Ohio.

Rules:
1) Create a bookmark of those caches and include this challenge on your bookmark list.
2) Select "I want to share this list with others" & "Make this list public" in the bookmark settings. If not a premium member, you may email us your list of qualifying caches.
3) Keep this bookmark public for a minimum of 30 days after completing the challenge so we have a chance to review.
4) Include the date of your find & the state in each of the bookmark descriptions.
5) Caches found can be of any type such as Traditional, Multi, Virtual, etc. and found at any time, even if now archived.
6) Each rest area cache that you've hidden yourself can count as two finds. Include a note in the description of the bookmark entry explaining that you're the cache owner.
7) Geocaches that count are: highway rest areas, tourist welcome centers along Interstates, turnpike oasis & turnpike emergency pull-off areas, small road rest areas if shown as a rest area on the map or mentioned in description that it is a rest area, scenic views and overlooks attached to rest areas.
UPDATE: 8) Geocaches that do not count: benchs/tables along bike trails, cemetery RIP hides, fire hydrant rest stops for dogs . Just because the cache name contains the word "rest" does not make it a rest area geocache.

Congrats to fhetter532 for FTF!!
