A multi placed to celebrate PopPop's (aka tcwprez) 70th Birthday. It will take you to spots which are significant to him over the last 30 plus years.
This multi is a trip through the life of Pop Pop in honor of his 70th birthday. Katy, his granddaughter, wanted to share four of the spots that are significant in Pop Pop's life. While enthusiastic bikers and walkers(which could be a long and dangerous way) could make the journey, most will prefer a car. The original cache is one Pop Pop went by every day for over 30 years on his way to work. The second cache used to be the site of the Tom's River Chess Club, where he enjoyed playing and met his wife. The third cache is located near his favorite restaurant. The final used to be famous for its large cowboy and takes you where it all began, the first dance.
This cache was supposed to be placed a few days befoe his birthday (the 28th). but Hurricaine Irene was coming for a visit. It is now in place.
Mileages given are via car (including by GPS). Distance from first to second: 5.12 miles, second to third: 5.7 miles, and from third to final: 8.7 miles, with a total distance of 17.4 miles.
