We have been wanting to host an event for a while now and as we are aiming for our 100th hide and 1000th find on my birthday we thought why not host our first event on my birthday too!
Following a few impromptu events where the regulars gathered in an attempt to FTF our new caches we thought it might be a good idea to organise a meeting so that all of the local Geocachers could get to know each other.
What better time to do this than on my 16th birthday!
The plan is to gather around 7:30 for some drinks at the pub, a chat, a chance to discover TBs and put faces to names of those that you may not know! Food is also available if you don't fancy cooking later!
The event will take place at the Foxlydiate Arms Restaurant in Webheath, Redditch.
So just after Christmas, before we set off on another year of searching for Tupperware boxes, why not come along and enjoy a Geochat, perhaps also considering venues or events in readiness for the possibility of the UK Mega coming to the West Midlands in 2013.

The function room is booked so there is plenty of space for all..... Go to the far right hand side of the bar and you will see the entrance door to the function room.....
We are also planning to get a cache published on the 4th of January to celebrate - the details of this cache and the puzzle involved will be given out at the meet on the 3rd - all the more reason to come along!

STOP PRESS:
I have just spoken with the manager at the venue and confirmed that they will put tables and chairs out in the function room and are happy for food to be ordered from the bar to be bought into that room. As well as the standard menu there is an Indian buffet usually available on Tuesdays. I have also stated that we (CO) will be arriving at 18:30 so if anybody wants to come along earlier than the official start feel free!
