If you know the history if this location, you may get a chuckle
out of the name, which hasn't changed a whole lot.
Back in the mid 1970s, my brother was an employee here. In fact,
he worked here for five years, and was so well known for his pranks
and practical jokes that even years after he moved on, they still
remembered his name. Some of his jokes were legendary, such as
placing pickle slices on the shoulders of the front counter
cashiers when they weren't looking and trying to see how many he
could load them with before someone blew the whistle. He got up to
five - two on one shoulder, three on the other.
Then, there was the time he stuffed a suit of clothes and put a
mask on it to fool some of his coworkers. He placed it outside on a
bench, laying down. When one coworker went to investigate and found
it was just a dummy, he had a good laugh and went to prod another
coworker just coming on shift to go look at it. But while their
backs were turned, my brother had an accomplice remove the dummy
and put on the suit and mask and lay on the bench, so when the
other two came back one to look at the "dummy," they got a big
scare when the "dummy" sat up!
Yes, this was the brother that I grew up with. And although he
is now nearly 60, the pranks continue! Just without the french
fries.
The cache is placed with full knowledge and permission of the
property owner, with the caveat that no damage is done to the
"antique" and the neighbors don't complain about any "suspicious
nighttime activities."
Congratulations to PAVEIT for FTF!
