FLASH MOB on 11/11/11 at in Beaver, Pa
COME JOIN US AT 11:00 AM ON 11-11-11 FOR A FLASH MOB IN BEAVER, PA!
A geocaching flash mob is a VERY quick event, 15 minutes to be exact. The idea is to suddenly gather, conduct a quick meeting then disperse as quickly as we gathered. Please do not arrive at GZ early! Walk around, act like a muggle, or wait in your vehicle until the time arrives.
At 11:00 AM we'll all meet at the posted coordinates.
To expedite the sign in and raffle process for this event, please bring a 3x5 note card signed with your caching name WITH YOU to the event and drop it into the box at GZ. This will be your "found it" log and drawing entrant for prizes. (One per person).
We will have extra 3X5 notecards and pens available for those that did not bring one.
If your name is not in the box, you will not be allowed to log this event.
Please post a note if you plan to attend so we can get an idea of how many people will be there.
UPDATE: THERE IS A PARADE IN BEAVER STARTING AT 10:30AM. PARKING SPACES MIGHT BE HARD TO FIND AT THE FREE PARKING GARAGE AND ON THE STREETS. TRY TO GET THERE EARLY ENOUGH SO YOU DON'T MISS THE EVENT.
SCHEDULE:
At 11:00AM SHARP you will hear a whistle. Assemble at the listed coordinates immediately.
If you haven't done so already, place one signed notecard into the into the box for your log and drawing.
We'll have some yummy snacks available beside the box! (Bring your own drinks/coffee).
At 11:04 AM you will hear another whistle. Drawing for prizes to be given to some lucky winners. It's important that everyone quiet down at this time so you can hear your name the first time. We have to do this quickly.
At 11:10AM the whistle will be blown again. Group will immediately move to GZ and get into position for a picture.
11:11 AM SHARP a photo will be taken of the group.
11:11 AM-11:15 AM-Socialize, shake hands, do a dance, whatever floats your boat.
At 11:15 AM, the whistle blows the final time and the event ends. All participants should leave the GZ area at this time.
We will have the coordinates of local caches in the area available in case anyone would like to go geocaching after the event.
