Will I Walleye Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

grdhogeve: Visited GZ yesterday. Nice to trek the area before thick vegetation makes it difficult. Ammo can missing, as I suspected. No doubt some local yahoo figured he wanted the ammo can more than visiting geocachers. This is not the 1st time cache containers have gone missing. Some claimed by Mother Nature. But most just simply stolen. For this reason, I am archiving this geocache. I hope someone will take it over. I still love the park and the views!

Geocache Description:

Placed off Taft Bay Park on Oneida Lake. Partially submerged, offshore cache in about 2 feet of water. Weighed down with 2 large chain links and a rope. Can be reached by canoe, kayak, tube, wading. Beware guardian geese and boulders just beneath water's surface.

Cache is a recycled Coleman thermos. Big enough to hold some goodies, logbook and pencil. Please make sure to tighten lid securely. I got the idea for this type of cache from 'stellarsky' who placed Peaceful Swim and Walk of Grace on Seneca Lake. Thanks. FYI: I enjoyed a wonderful swim afterwards. The beach will be open Labor Day until 7pm.
