Geocache Description:

This is a micro hidden in a classic manner. The most challenging part of this cache is avoiding muggles. This is one of the busiest, if not the busiest, spots in town, so recommend highly a *early* morning or *late* evening visit. If you time it right, you could do this from a wheelchair. Yes, this cache meets ADA height and 360 degree access requirements. There is room for certain smaller trackable items.

OK...let's get it out in the open. I'm a lifer. Area code 847, Lake County, doing the suburban thing. When I graduated from the local high school, I was ready for a change. But time has mellowed me out, and IMHO this is a great place to live, shop, eat...and geocache of course!

One of the best things about HP is the restaurants. This place here has been here since I was in grade school, and, along with the Breakfast spot in this series, a place that, for better or worse, captures everything that is Highland Park. You've got to hand it to these folks, they know their market.

This restaurant got off to a rocky start, mainly due to its original name. Well before the Internet became a household name, before most people even *had* personal computers, the New York City trademark police got wind of Nathan's Chicago-Style Red Hots, and threatened them with a law suit. Those of you who have been to Coney Island know what I'm talking about. Nathan's became this place, and the rest is Highland Park culinary history.

Enjoy the tour...dinner and dessert courses to follow.
