This is one of three caches placed along this relatively unspoilt section of the river.
The River Stour was one of England’s earliest navigable waterways dating back to 1705.
It is said that the inspiration of the book ‘Tarka the Otter’ was gained after the author spotted an otter frolicking in the river here.
This can be accessed if navigating the Stour by boat, but you will need to moor up first.
It is also bike friendly, there is a cycle rack close to the start of the footpath where you can lock bikes up whilst you grab the caches.
Parking is available on the roadside near to the start of the footpath, I have created a waypoint for it.
Those with children will need to be careful as there is deep water nearby.
