Geocache Description:

Tour de Parks!
This Cache is part of a series hidden by Southlake Parks and Recreation.

The series is designed to introduce locals to Southlake’s parks. All of the hides are kid friendly so it is a great opportunity to introduce them to geocaching. We encourage you to come out for the geocache but to stay and enjoy the parks!

Cache is a cammoed 5 x 4 x 3 plastic container.

SLParksRec: Royal and Annie Smith
Situated within tranquil environs lies Southlake’s Royal and Annie Smith Park. The park was named after the Smith family who had long occupied the property before the city acquired the land. The park has recently undergone beautiful renovations which include the addition of a playground, trails, pavilion and landscape improvements. The park re-opened in spring of 2010 and has been a hit with children and parent alike. In the cooler days of spring and fall it is not uncommon to see a birthday or two celebrated within the pavilion, which can be rented through the Southlake Parks and Recreation Department.

Enjoy the beautiful park! Please note park hours are dawn to dusk.

We would really love to hear some feedback about our geocaching program. You all leave great logs but we would really appreciate it if anyone who has completed the SLParksRec series or even just one cache could complete our online Customer Satisfaction Survey.
