We’ve
had the pleasure of caching with Destitute for a few years and
wanted everyone to share in the celebration of their 5000th find,
GC1MV49 The State Quarter Series – The Final Cache on August
30th 2011.
I think we’ve cached from Katmandu to the Nutbush
City Limits with Destitute hitting every Main Street
possible. We’d go on these numbers runs and by the end of the
day we’d Feel Like A Number. Some days our caching
mojo was right on and we’d see the cache 20ft away saying
Come To Poppa while other days we’d just feel like a
Beautiful Loser .
At one point we suggested they change their name to
Travelin’ Man (and woman) but to this day it’s
Still The Same. We’ve read many a log where
they’ve taken The Long Way Home after work looking for
a cache in No Mans Land trying to decide Which Way to
go but always coming up with the cache.
Okay, the other Bob Seger song titles I can think of are not
appropriate for this cache page so we’ll get on to the
details. We’ll meet at Ryan’s in Maryville on Saturday
October 8th at noon for a 5K celebration complete with a platinum
ammo can ready to be stuffed with swag!
One final story! I can remember a cache run where I had put down 4
or 5 large teas and had to make a pit stop out in the middle of
nowhere. That’s where Mr Destitute gave me some great advice.
He said to never do that Against The Wind!
