Come and celebrate
the 10th Annual Texas Challenge!
The Premier Geocaching Social Event of Texas!
|
For 10 years, the Texas Challenge has become THE
annual geocaching social event of the state of Texas. The contest
itself has grown into a weekend of activities for both people
wishing to participate in the challenge and those people who wish
to only casually attend! Last year’s attendance was over 300
people!
This year, Texas
Challenge X (2012) will be hosted by the TXGA North Texas Region at
Ray Roberts State Park: Isle du Bois, March 10-11, 2012.
|
The Texas Challenge is a friendly competition between the regional
teams in Texas and teams from other states, and it is held by the
Texas Geocaching Association. Visit the official Texas Challenge site
for more history about this annual event.
|
You do not have to participate in the Texas Callenge to
attend. There are other activities to participate in if you choose
not to compete in the Texas Challenge. We also welcome out-of-state
geocachers to attend, and/or participate in, the Texas
Challenge.

The North Texas Region and the Texas Geocaching
Association Board of Directors are working hard to make
this Texas Challenge a successful and memorable weekend of events.
Please know that the rules for scoring and participation in this
Texas Challenge are different than prior Texas Challenge
events.
To ensure that you are prepared for the Texas Challenge,
consider the following:
Pre-Registered
Attendees:
- Will be allowed to participate in the Texas Challenge.
- May pick up pre-sorted event packets, and pre-ordered
souveniers and meal tickets.
- Can sign their children up for Camp Kiddie Cacher.
On-Site Registered
Attendees:
- Will NOT be able to participate in the Texas
Challenge.
- May only purchase souveniers on a first-come, first-serve
basis, with no guarantees.
- Can buy meal tickets, which will be sold after the meals have
started to be served.
- Cannot sign their children up for Camp Kiddie Cacher.
Please note:
Anyone who paid for their meal online during pre-registration
will be given the opportunity to obtain their meal when it first
becomes available. Once those pre-registrants have obtained their
meals, on-site meal tickets will be sold on a first come, first
serve basis. There is no guarantee that food will be available at
the event for you unless you purchased a meal ticket during
pre-registration!
The food will be delicious, so we recommend that you purchase a
meal ticket in advance during pre-registration.
Keep in mind that pre-registration ends
at midnight on Tuesday, February 14, 2012.
